Has anyone done Noosa on a nnw wind, asking for this Wednesday public holiday.

yes. the mouth or bay can work, or just sail in the part of the s-bend that cops the wind (rig on the dog beach). NNW is still okay, anything too much more west is a bit awkward inside the mouth.

I get up there a few times a year but haven't seen anyone else sailing it when I've been there for at least 5 years except on old wallys. Even people kiting are pretty light on these days. The inlet has changed shape a lot over the last 15 years. North wind should be getting good from here on for up there

Yep as Haircut has said definitely works in most northerly directions and no real swell to speak of if you are using slalom/freeride gear and negotiating the bar. So with incoming tide shortly should be fun.
Other option is Castaways on the open beach which is another beautiful spot to sail and you won't have anybissues with parking and traffic getting in and out through Hastings St. Enjoy!
