looking in the "for sale" sections on seabreeze and other classifieds, I have noticed very few boards for sale that are 150l and up? (Suitable for beginner) . Most boards for sale are 75-105 ltr and and Price seems to very reasonable. Ie less than $1000 in most cases.
I was wanting to buy a 165L board that isn't 20 years old but am struggling for choice. Is it due to not many new begginners type kits being purchased or is everyone hanging onto them?
Obviously a new complete kit would be great at $2700.00 or so but at this stage I wanted to go second hand at least just the board to save some money.

IMO that $750 ebay starboard is a bargain, if your just starting out that is , its perfect.. then as you progress keep your eye out for smaller boards and up grade,
you will be able to move that board on without losing too much $$ with the warmer season coming up you might not own it for too long before you will want to get something a bit more dynamic! good luck!

6' tall. Age 42. Weight 82kg. I had an big old Bic windsurfer (about 20 years ago) but it was a truck compared to the new stuff. I used to sail it reasonably well but it was a long time ago. I've been sailing for a number of years. Had a 26' keel yacht at wynnum that we used for club racing so I understand the sailing principle. Just need to get a sensible setup to learn on.
I agree with Jonesy. Don't mess around. Get the Start.
They rarely come up for sale so are easy to resell later.
They are the best learning option.
