So after a long search for an original windsurfer to replace the one I foolishly sold a year or so back, I lucked onto a complete board gratis.
I took this as the Karma Fairies rewarding me for my patience, even after a wasted trip up the coast only to find the board had some how been sold somewhere between my call to arrange a time to look at it and the next morning when I arrived at the pre arranged time. "Oh man, I probably should have called you hey!"
Anyhoo, today was my first chance to test out my new toy, and I must say it went extremely well..........until I stood on it and started to up haul, that is.
Oh well, at least I can fit it in the trailer now. I am thinking some 5 minute epoxy and Kevlar tape should see it up and running again.
But just in case it doesn't, does anyone have a lonely wally looking for a new home. Board only needed as I have all the spares!!
The search continues.............
Not sure if it's what you're after but I have a Bic Vivace 282 you can have also a few booms and a bag of extensions, fins and uni joints. I'm in Wynnum.
Yeah AusMos, one for coming and one for going. Unfortunately it has already gone where some would like to sadly see all of the retro boards go and is now land fill. Leaking it's 35 year old leachates into the soil as we speak.
Thanks for the generous offer 110county, but I have a good collection of boards already thanks. Some in my house may say too many.
I am after an original windsurfer or a one design in particular as a few of us have been getting together for a bit of light wind mucking about. Just a bit of a nostalgia trip really, although they are still heaps of fun on the right day.
Thanks again, Brad.
