11:30am 15-20 knots SE, gusting to 25 knots...Once again an early start to avoid low tide. Heading over soon.

That was a really nice session. Didn't start great with the low tide and reduced rigging area. Yes I found "Richie's quicksand" too just beyond the steps. But hey, once out the back it was a steady 13-17kts SE and super flat with the low tide. Good to see Richie, Luke, simon BC, and Jo. Hey re the quicksand, I came up with a solution. Use your boards floatation to help walk thru it. I semi lay/propped myself on the board as I walked thru it and magically I didn't sink!
