Frostbite Series kicks off at RQYS on Sunday 15th of May, there will be 6 of these Sunday races during winter with multiple races on each day.
Great chance to get in some training before the World Championships. Invitational event so you don't need to be a club member to sign up for the series or to come casually. This series often gets light winds in the autumn and early winter and howling westerlies at the end.
Notice of Race belowhttp://www.rqys.com.au/events/winter-frostbite-series/
After all the light wind and drifting practice last weekend at Lake Cootharaba, I'm ready to add some frostbite to the equation.
I plan to go for a raceboard sail tomorrow from RQ - who's interested in a green Island marathon from 11am (shorter distances for T15 and youth)?
Hi Julian
Should be some gear lying around on the 5/6. The Equipe you used at the Raceboard nationals last year or an RSX. Rigs could be a YA rsx 9.5 or the donated gear in the container, eg a 9.0 Neil Pryde.
Regards
David
Might be interested to do sail Brisbane as well then since it is during my last week of holiday.
I will see how I feel after the Gold coast marathon which is on the 3rd of July though...
Gents,
I would like to support you in your preparation with some additional training in RQ on Saturdays at 11:00 am ready to go on water.
The trainings will happen from next Saturday until 18th of June.
I will target the most common areas such as: pumping and starting in light to moderate winds. Racing and speed testing in moderate to strong winds.
Please let me know if you are interested. From what I know, Dave Sterling is keen ;).
Best regards
Max Wojcik
