More then a month since any descent wind in QLD.

If there is any chance to repeat Burrum Heads success as early as next weekend ?

Tides seems to be also in our favor - low tide about midday.....

This time the Northern bank may works better...or Wellington Point bank could work the same ??

This is the forecast for Hervey Bay, doesn't look very good. Will keep an eye on it as usual.

Where did that forecast come from, do my eyes deceive me? I'll go wherever it's good.

I use this site for Hervey Bay/Burrum Heads

www.windfinder.com/forecast/hervey_bay_urangan_pier

Forecast has changed on this site, not worth the drive up imho. Bit of rain too.

If that wind doesn't work on North bank?
Looks like wind is North or North East....I somehow like this N bank because water is flatter, safe to land if something fail, maybe a bit shorter but I never had a chance to try it in stronger then 20 knots wind.

Did anybody made any serious speeds on this Northern bank ? Any records above 40 knots anybody (ka72) ?We know that Glen hits above 41 knots on Southern a month ago, but for me it looks like really great achievement in not so easy , choppy waters...

The Northern bank does not work in a northerly, needs to be more easterly.

If the forecast holds then the best sailing will be Wello Pt or The Train

Guys check out south of the border. The north coast (Ballina) and mid north (Coffs to Newcastle) have brown arrows. Maybe Yamba could work for the speed run. Although they are also predicting up to 150mm of rain too so will probably be a ****e.

Nice work guys. Way to jinx the forecast. Now we get to paint the house instead of sailing on Saturday.

Rule for the future: don't talk about it 'till the day before. Ok?

Forecasts come and forecasts go, talking about them makes no difference at all.

If it's gone then it's not a forecast
