Hi
Where is the rigging and launching spot for Burrum Heads? I haven't sailed there before. Tuesday looks promising?
Cheers
Paul
Anywhere along the esplanade between the old boat ramp and Torbanlea St.
keep an eye out for the rocks/reef at low tide. You can see them on google earth

I rig on the sand dunes adjacent the car park just south of the boat ramp. It's a relatively short walk with your gear to the water. Others rig on the grass at the end of Torbanlea Street, but the walk to the water is longer.
More importantly the tide for Tuesday is not low enough. The low has to be less than 1m for the bank to work. You would be better if sailing at Harvey Bay.

So maybe Burrum Heads another time.
So the bank you refer to is the one stretching out to the East off the Old Boat Ramp?
Anywhere in particular in Hervey Bay?

Yes, as to the best spots in Harvey Bay, the locals (eg Geoff Ringe) would be a better guide
If the predicted ese wind eventuates Hervey bay will be very good a couple of hours either side of low tide.
Go to Hockley lane on the Esplanade shelly beach to rig up.
