The attached fishing report from the Wynnum Herald suggests that bull sharks are hanging around the sand crab pots in the bay.

I've noticed more crab pots than usual around Waterloo bay while race board training.

Might want to reconsider using the crab pot bouys as gybe marks...

Yep, they're everywhere up our end of the bay too. I just try to avoid sailing at feeding time.

I was of kite beach yesterday and hit something in the shallow. didn't get a good look but was possibly a ray or shark sent me over the front but wasn't hard like a turtle.
Also had one about 8" go past me out near king Island a couple of weeks back not sure if it was a bullshark or not. definately makes you not want to drop too many gybes.

I have been windsurfing at Wello for 30yrs no one has ever been attacted only once which was a small bite I was told.
The kids jetty jump all day every day and ive seen people swimming out 500m from the beach in Waterloo Bay but never any probem although I wouldn't try that so I think its safe plus sailboards are huge if laying on the water which would put most small sharks off.
Local keen Fisherman Greg is aways telling me about all the sharks he sees while fishing around Wello his even had big tigers passing him while fishing in waste high water for whitting they never go for him so far.
Bikie Tim once got bit by a toad fish it was funny as.
