Hey guys,
Havnt been windsurfing in over a year due to work.... i need new gear but unsure on the board.... i used to have a 120l freeride board and felt like it was limiting me towards the end. I want something that i can learn to gybe on but also is a good all round board for flat days and future progression.... i have done some research and i think that a 90ish L freestyle board would be best. Im 60kg.... any advice would be amazing!
Cheers fellas

Unless youre used to running big race sails (7.5m +) 90L should be fine mate. Im a wave guy and my biggest sail/board is 5.6/100ltr. But I weigh 95kgs... 90 to 100ltr should work well.

I have a Freestyle board that I use just for freeriding...no tricky stuff. I practise gybes and tacks, but have yet to perfect either. These type of boards are smooth in the carve and easy to waterstart if you get something wrong. Ihave noticed that the FSW boards have a slight diference in shape and may be more suitable if you are going into the waves. It would be worth having a ride of these boards to see how they compare. The sail(s) that you choose to use may also need to match the type of board you get to decide upon. The 120L may be good to keep for those really light wind days when the shorter boards just get bogged down. On those days the extra floatation helps to get planing.

Awesome thanks for the help guys. I would like to eventually start wave sailing but i want to master flat water as much as i can before i do. Keen to get back into it! It's been way to long. Let the search for a new board begin!

I have a jp fsw 102 that's collecting dust, more than welcome to give it a try to see if that size works for you
