not sure where too sail in westerly in sydney ,,, last time sailed on my own in some ****ty gulf ,,, near san souci
you can go to palm beach inside (opposite basin), i'll be there around 11am or later.
There is also Foreshore road, up botany bay, very close to the airport track
and little manly close to the wharf
W to SW is best at La Perouse followed by Kurnell.
SSW go to Dolls Point.
The problem with winter sailing is that not many people are up for it. I have had countless number of good days down at both dolls and la Perouse by myself.
I'm not necessarily suggesting it as a 'good' spot for everyone because there is not a lot of fallback in the event of something going wrong - However, that said - if your confidence and competence are high, Broken Bay can be awesome in a westerly.
dolls point is ok for westerly, as long as it is not north westerly.
but westerly with rain with be very very gusty.
what ya mean confidence and competance ,,,, i been sailing for long time ,,,, is it rocky sharkey or big waves
ohhhh i see broken bay on google now ,,,, yeah could be a long paddle home ,,,, bit far for workday but may give it a go on the weekendeerr
