hey, hows it going, NE, you got tuggerah lakes, toukley area, peel st, we launch from the aquatic club, its flat water, sweet sess, need weed fin, if you havent got weed fin, you cant sail these lakes, but not far away is swansea, lake macquaire, sweet sess, very flat speed strip, these directions arent real great, and you will probably need a hand first time peel st, ill be hitting one of the above spots today, your welcome to hook up, i got dudes coming to my place about midday, then were on the hunt, my number is 0409906818, johnny miller, c ya soon

Closer to Gosford you have Green Point which works well in a NE'er but you would need a weed free fin, as well and booties just to be safe. Flat water with relatively short runs about 400-500 metres. longer downwind runs are available if you choose.

Or you could go from the Haven at Terrigal, if you feel more adventurous and you don't need a weed free fin. A wave or two can be found if you go further out.

Cheers.

Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately I brought the wrong weed fin (tuttle) to match my new board (power). Decided to give Toowoon Bay a go a few times but got serverely beaten trying to get through the shore break. No broken gear, just a sliced up toe and bruised heal (oh and a bruised ego). What an awesome sport! Just when you think you are getting the hang of it (on flat water) you can still manage to find a way to take it up a notch..

If you don't have a weed fin then have a go on Brisbane Waters, Umina Beach or head up to Lake Mac.

Lake Macquarie no weed fin required.

Umina off the beach.

You should be sailing now while its not freezing cold and there are some windy days.
