Not sure as the forecast wind direction is swirling around everyday. It will be hard to know with a low pressure system.

Canton I think..If it blows N on Friday maybe Marmong or Valentine..If it blows 30kts I won't have a board I can use as I dont have a weedfin for my 78ltre..
So can you stay in flatwater in Canton with NW - W winds?
Wheres this speedstrip and is it crosshore or..?
Grr Id love to go out 3 days straight but I think after 2 weeks + off the body will die the next day..( headache).

North Entrance at the ex Co-op for the speed channel. Sail in the channel if the wind is w-sw. Very smooth

Whoa..50ltre! At least at canton if the board isn't big enough in the lulls you can beachstart it rather than deep water start..brr
The way Lake Macquarie sailors are defecting to Canton there won't be anyone left on the lake in the winter W's ..

You will find with windsurfing the weather is a variable we can't do much about except for cursing those who tell us to windsurfing on the weekend as Seabreeze arrows are forecasting a windy one. There is apparently a causal link between advising to go windsurfing on the good forecast and the forecast eventuating into a light zephyr. Also blame Huey, whoever he/she/it is.

This autumn has not been too bad overall after what would have to be noted as a particularly abysmal summer season of windsurfing. Hopefully we will get a few more fronts and low pressure systems making their way over us the next few months.

Went to Canton today & too N ly..Found out about the co op and sailed there.Locals telling me how to avoid the shallows & sounded more effort than worth it but it was great! 5.8m + 125 board & too much scary.. 95ltre + 5m & great! Flat water certainly makes it easy. Mind you the chop down there is very steep but that makes it great for jumps! ( need to work on those..).
See how the body goes tonight maybe have another go at Canton tomorrow. The W is howling through up here..

got down to kurnell about 3:30 this arvo and the wind was cranking. Only me out and about 20 Kiters.
6.2 was fully powered up and only had my 118 super sport so was having to work hard to keep it down out in the middle. Awesome flat water for gybing on the inside tho :)
Heres hoping for some more fun Sat and sunday

Yeah it was great at Canton today. Were you using a North sail? I sailed my 6.6m Speed Demon and it was great. A bit overpowered at times but never out of control except for once on my bigger board and had a massive catapult. Quite violent and nearly pulled the mast base out the back of the mast track.

I think the catapult killed my GPS as it doesn't work anymore. Oh well, it was on the cards as it basically rusting out. It was good to sail without the GPS. No pressure and in a way a less stressful windsurf. Freesailing.

nice. did you break ur PB . or did the GPS stuff up before you got ur reading

haha you did say you were going to get a new one .

let us know if you find any GPS deal. I know the last time
you made a profit with ur trade/swap

that the next thing I want . ( work is going pay for it :)

Went out off Neilsen Park, a little light and gusty for the first 50m then blasting. 5m2 and a Goya custom twin waveboard, a little on the edge a few times but lots of fun.
