According to the BOM, there's been little change in Lake W despite the rain we've had recently. Keefy sailed there a couple of weeks ago and said that it really wasn't working with it being still too shallow and the weed beds in the wrong locations. I'm tempted for a look tomorrow morning before work but am not sure just yet....
Haven't been to Budgy for a week or so .It was still a bit higher than usual then but starting to get flatter parts in a NE.
Was c 28cms deep straight off the grass at Peely - at it's flood level you could sail up onto the grass and about thigh deep straight off the edge. The best level is probably if you need a 20cm delta to launch off the grass or have to walk it out a little.
I was at Peelie on Sunday. The level is definitely less than before. In a NW nice flat stuff but I hit bottom during a planing gybe (19cm fin) but was quite close to the Eastern shore, would normally expect to be OK unless the gybe came off plane (never happens to me but Tibor says this is the case!).
The good news is that as Byron was walking in from about 100 ks out he studied the weed & reckons it is growing, green shoots, maybe due to fresh rain water flushing the lake?
