Planning on going.
If its really strong I'll see how consistent Marmong is .If its got too many holes I'll go to Valentine.
It depends on the strength & direction but SSW sounds best for Valentine , Southerly Marmong.
Seabreeze says 25kts BOM 30 -35kts.. if it s 30 -35kts I hope Marmong is working as I'd prefer there as its always a bit less there than Valentine & I'll get hammered with my 3.2m sail in that strength!![]()

I'll check it out on the way down.Probably aiming for middayish.
Be good to have someone else out as I've had some bad stacks this year and lost a bit of confidence in the big stuff.
Heading to Valentine now. Hope to be on the water c 11.30ish. Hoping I'll catch it before it gets too strong but its already gusting to 40kts in Sydney..I must have rocks for brains..![]()
. Be nice to have some company to pick up the pieces..![]()
Well I survived. I wouldn't say it was that great a sail.Played it safe and rigged the 3.2m miles too small.. put the 3.8m on and great in the gusts c 30kts + but not enough of them..Using the 78ltre board that I've only sailed a few times so gybes a bit iffy but I did get a few including one pretty good one & managed to slog along and light wind waterstart ( underpowered in the lulls) so I suppose thats good.
By the time it came in so I was well powered up on that kit I had to leave & was tired..
Is it possible for a waveboard to be faster than a freeride?
My 95ltre Tabou Rocket seems fast but the 78 Tabou pocket wave feels faster..maybe its just that its smaller and the chop is bigger when I use it ..?? Grr fall off the back a bit gybing it as I don't get far enough forward although I did get one where I was still going on the exit..

Consider heading up to Canton Beach on a day like today. Its much safer and easier to sail there in stronger winds. If you come off its easier to get going as the water is about waist to chest deep. The wind is quite consistent there and considering the strength of the wind the water is quite flat. The runs are pretty long, about as long as you want anyway, close to 2kms.
I was up there today and had a really great sail. Overpowered with a 5.9 but hung in there and got a few personal bests for speed categories. A good friendly mob of windsurfers sail there too.
The only downer of course is the weed. A weed fin is mandatory.
