what is the go there it looks like a lot of water on the map but i find that i can only get into 1 lake and they were rowing there i am not confident a enough to take one the white water and the bombora 95 is too heavy too carry 3km but it should be a great spot at the foot of the mountains it should funnel please help me can do this after work at the right job& maybe i could duck off for shopping at penrith excuses if the wind was right. Penrith council has a picture of somebody sailboarding at the lakes on their web site but i have never seen the lake that is accessible with and used anything but rowers .

The picture that is on the website is in relation to a new development being worked on now called the Penrith Lakes scheme. It is a group of lakes that eventually will have beaches and bike paths and accessible for non powered water sports such as sailing (both wind and dinghy) as well as canoeing etc. The Lakes have been being built for yonks and it looks like it's stalled. I doubt you'd be able to sail on the rowing lake. There is planned housing developments all around the lakes too.
Regards the wind, the further you go from the coast the gustier it gets in Sydney. Also the Blue Mountains will be a big block as opposed to anything funneling down through them I think you'll find. I'd love to be proved wrong because I could actually get to the Lakes quicker than the coast so it would be a nice backup for me if I want a quick blat after work in summer.

thanks rusty but if it is the lake that connects by cannel from the rowing lake it was off limits green weed and they were taking the things they row to the boat ramp i went to the front office & that was were they directed me i might have been unlucky i think it was the grandfinal of girls rowing things so maybe it was just a bad day but on the map the other 2 lakes are twice the size and they told me they were not availble havent been back
