Are you into flat or surf? If flat I recommend you sail over the other side to Jimmy's Beach/Winda Woppa. Its bloody awesome in a north easter and you have a great downwinder sailing home.

I did this one day last year from Shoal Bay on a really beautiful day. It was a windsurfing highlight.

Here are my session and comments for the day:

Looks like you really picked a great week for a holiday! After the crap weather we've had for the last 3 months I had decided no holidays for the next two years.

Moby, GPS trace looks great. I did Shoal Bay to Jimmy's and back once in a day and thought that enough of an advantage. You've really gone the distance on that day.

What days are you planning on coming up to the Bay ?
Also as Moby asked, are you into:
flat water
bump and jump
waves
all of the above

Plenty of spots for all of the above... vehicle type (4wd) may impact on access to all wave locations though

Hopefully see you on the water

Here's a rough track/trace of the DownWinder Stoo and I did last year in a decent Nor Easter.
There was a little bit of swell hence the short runs over the sand bank
*On low tide its knee deep (even exposed in some places) so you can stand up/sit down and have a rest if required

WindWarrior, you made multiple crossings of the channel??
Its like the Bermuda Triangle.
Hope it was low tide and you were on a wave board.
