birubi - how big is too big?

Anyone up North able to post a pic of Birubi? Is it too big yet? Wondering if Saturday / Sunday morning might be sailable.

Unless you like swimming, and have some old gear you don't mind destroying, I'm pretty sure it will be too big. Although it breaks relatively gently, the waves tend to keep coming at you, you think you've made it out the back then you hit a lull (which happens on all but the strongest days) and one suddenly breaks in front of you. Anything about head high gets tricky. If the swell is straight southerly and waist high on a SE facing beach, it'll be head high at Birubi.

If you're desperate you can sometimes play in the foamies because it breaks a long way out for a beachbreak.
