I'm a German backpacker travelling through Australia for some months and although surfing is most favourite sport around here, I love to windsurf so I'd would be a dream to go windsurfing for some weeks here in Australia. I'm going to travel to melbourne adelaide, than back to sydney and from there along the east coast to cairns. Do you people know any good windsurf spot anywhere near this route? I'm still quite a beginner, so not that dangerous, small waves and a windsurf school nearby would be excellent.
I really hope you can help me, given that I couldn't find any windsurfing loving person here ;)

I don't think there are any windsurfing schools outside of the city areas on the east coast of NSW. When you are in Melbourne perhaps you could try and go to a windsurfing school there. Make a similar post on the Victorian windsurfing forum and ask there.
In Sydney there is a windsurfing school at Balmoral.
If you really want to windsurf and travel you may be able to do a long term rental from Wind Surf and Snow. They are in Sydney too. Depending on the amount of time you are here and your transportation it might be best to buy some windsurfing gear.
