Heading down to st george sailing club around lunch - hope to see some other crazy bastards out :)
sailing club should be open by then and able to rig in the boat shed and have a nice hot shower after!
Roar
Not sure if you are going to get any takers today, most people don't like the heavy rain induced stinging face sensation.
I don't know why but it feels so nice and cosy to be at work today, I think I'll get a nice hot cappuccino and look at the rain from the window... ![]()
Tom and I got out at Umina.
5.5m + 104ltr quad.
Got absolutely smashed by 5ft closeout set...
big swim and a walk up the beach to get gear.
Fun!
had an ok sail down at st george sailing club - was nice till the wind swung to the west a bit and went patchy.
good to catch up with Ken and Craig cole who unfortunately broke a mast :(
Had a few beers in the club to finish it all off ![]()
Very unenthused with heavy rain + 12 degrees on the way down and 25-38kts SSW when I first arrived at Canton. It settled down to a gusty 25-30kts + and I used the 3.8 + 78ltre waveboard ( too big).
Too choppy for speed stuff and not as cold as expected actually sailing. About 6 or so out.
Tried my ' new' 68ltre starboard acid for the first time at the end but the wind had died a bit by then so there wasn't enough to get going.
Fun sail even though I had to take my glasses off and sail blind because of the early rain.![]()
A few maurders will be hitting 7th heaven soon,,,good luck all, enjoy
I think the north maurders will get some wind today, good luck boys, hope its good for ya![]()
Wild conditions here yesterday. This was up for grabs but couldn't get to it with the beach having consistent mast and half sets closing out and the harbour entrance having the same! Spewin, the waves looked awesome!
This is easily over mast high!
This left is breaking at the entrance to the harbour
Went out to the boneyard (bombie of bear island) today, was large and scary. Got swallowed by a big heavy one, pretty happy to come back up. ![]()
