not enough north side but looked like there were a few at Wanda, 3ft swell.

Warrior,

off topic, in your opinion is WA wind better Dec or Jan or Feb? I have been to Gero twice - once Jan 2002 and wasn't windy until the day I left, due to a low pressure off the coast and another time a couple of years ago when it was pretty windy for a few days.

I realise that there are variables and you could get a week with 1 day 20+ then the next 3-4 days 20+, what do you reckon is the best month - on average. Is Gero less windy with the warmer days like 35 deg?

thanks

I think if you want waves and wind your best bet is early (November) or late in the season (February). WA is a bit like the NSW South Coast. There are good seasons and bad season. I have heard of people sailing in good waves and on small gear 4 weeks straight around Jan / Feb. Then other years when there is almost nothing.

thanks seg,

I know WA gets the wind but can be long flat spells as you said. Dare I say less wind is probably better - for Gero at least - as it gets so strong. You have to hope the week you pick has some swell forecast AND wind AND you are on hol's etc.
