Hi guys.

I'm going to old bar this week end with Kite friends but i'll be windsurfing. Do you guys have info, tips and warnings about this place. it seems quite regulated and kite oriented.
I intend to be mostly wave sailing, but I might be forced to sail inside if the waves end up being to big or if i wanna play on the flat water. Any thoughts? (I already know it will be dangerously shallow)

Like to the place on google map : www.google.com.au:443/maps?q=old+bar&hl=en&ll=-31.950196,152.602415&spn=0.023706,0.031157&sll=-33.868901,151.207091&sspn=1.484634,1.994019&vpsrc=6&t=h&z=15

Thanks guys

Yep. can be shallow & kitey.... that is the water is shallow NOT the kiters

Manning Pt just up the road is good flat water. or up to Harrington.
Sat /Sun looks off shore with sthly change late Sunday.

i've sailed there a few times in a NE'r and seems to be as reliable as anywhere in NE. only had 2-3 ft surf although it is a open beach. saltwater down the road is a good surf spot but can attract a crowd - needs S/SE swell.

for NE I launched near the surf club, grass rigging area and ramp/driveway onto beach, easy.

southerly would be x-on, so good for kites, not so good for w-surf.

sunday/monday looks like a decent southerly so you may need to consult the map
