Hey guys,
Due to my new job, I have to move around Paddington (Sydney) and I can see that there is some water not far off!!! I would need some advise if it is doable to windsurf around Double Bay/Rose Bay? any good? what's the wind like there? Would be good to have a quick windsurf sesh fix after work!
Cheers
(Sorry guys for my french)
Salut Frenchy,
Si ?a te dit de naviguer ensemble, Mon no 0435 920 250, Jean-MarcA+
Woollahra Sailing Club has a very active windsurfing fleet. Mostly aimed at fun racing after work and on weekends though.
Most people use Race-boards or WOD. Kids are usually on BIC Techno's...
Rose Bay in the winter Westerlies is actually no bad for recreational windsurfing.
I used to windsurf out of Woollahra SC when I lived in Rose Bay and loved it. As Brett said, westerlies work along with sea breezes. I would often venture out past Shark Island but found when its busy (mostly weekends) it was a bit of a nightmare so staying south of the island is the best.
