Its really cool all the windsurfing activities that we have in NSW. I know we are the envy of other states.
We have club racing in about 6 clubs and a great wave events and heaps more. (The wave guys need wind and waves which can make it hard but they go forward with full enthusiasm).
Our champion sailors are proving what a healthy scene we have here. Recently a couple of our guys, Byron M won Burrum, QLD, Brett Morris won Formula Nationals in NZ!! All the organizers and competitors can be proud of NSW achievements.
I look forward to hearing the exciting future programs on Tuesday.
regards Justin
Thanks very much to all who were able to attend last night. Great to see so many people present and with an interest in moving forward organised windsurfing in NSW. It was especially encouraging to hear about the season just past from all the varying perspectives. With a renewed grand swell of positivity, I'm sure we're in for a great season over 2016/17.
Will post the minutes in the coming weeks and keep everyone abreast with the developments leading into the AGM at the end of July.
Minutes from the Windsurfing NSW general meeting held last month at the Oaks in Neutral Bay. The next meeting will the Annual General Meeting which is scheduled for Tuesday night of the 26th of July, likely to be at the same venue.(TBC)
Dear Sailboarders,
I have the understanding that our current insurance policy only provides cover when we are actually participating in the annually programmed /listed /sanctioned events.
That it does not provide cover while we are sailboarding at other events, or training, or recreational sailboarding. Thus, it does not provide cover for probably the majority of our sailboarding!
Perhaps we should have insurance like that provided to kiteboarders:

Is it possible to have an improved policy in place for 1 July 2016?
