Anyone got the balls to go for a sail at Windang this Friday? Models at the moment are calling for a swell somewhere around 20 ft on a 12 second period.
At that size you should be able to start catching waves from the island right down to the surf club. Biggest problem should be getting through the shore break.
Who's got a jetski? If this forecast stays true might just have to try and wing a day off *cough*.
Edit: Re windang it's a good spot but it can get heavy and now with the break wall wind shadow the shore break can be an issue if its big. Lots of breaks around the gong though that can handle big southerly swells and not kill you as easily...although you could end up on the rocks at a few of them ![]()
