I can teach very well how to fall from the board and swim around it, how to let the boom go at the right moment so that the mast smashes the nose, how to dive into the sail to make a nice hole in it, how to promptly jump off the board into a bed of oysters, how to charge at full speed into a sandbank to smash the boom in 4 pieces ... does it qualify for windsurfing instructor?

Yes indeed 'Waiting for the Wind', there is a lot happening in this space at the moment in fact.

In Sydney on the north side, Johnno and the guys located at Balmoral SC can assist no problems. Contact them through, Balmoral Sailing School. www.sailingschool.com.au/

On the south side you can contact Belly(David Bell) at Woollahra SC. They are running a school holidays programme at the moment, but worth giving him a call if this suits. 0423 73 3061

Sam at Windsurf n Snow has just recently become, a Australian Sailing certified windsurfing instructor, as have a number of other people around the traps in recent times. He'll have some options for you for sure. windsurfnsnow.com.au/site/

Justine Lord is also, as Shear Tip suggests, offering private lessons. www.windsurfingreligion.com/windsurfing-tours.html

If your up Lake Macquarie way you can contact the guys at Marmong Point Sailing Club, www.facebook.com/windsurfingmarmongpoint

Or you could also contact Laura Baldwin-Caldecoat or Lanee Beashel through the H2O Sports Academy Australia at Point Wolstoncroft Sport and Recreation Centre on Kanangra Drive, Gwandalan. They run kids training camps for windsurfers and can be contacted via Phone: +61 (0) 473 026 445. Email: info@h2o-sports-academy.com

Facebook: www.facebook.com/h2osportsacademy

If your down the South coast you can contact Anna & Arkim Halank at Sanctuary Point and they are also qualified Windsurfing Instructors. 0407 411 381

As the Discover Sailing Programme gets underway over the Summer, a number of Clubs including Balmoral SC & Woollahra SC will be offering windsurfing on these days, so keep an eye on the site over the coming months also. discoversailing.org.au/program-finder/

Hope that helps.

Cool, good to hear there are things happening in the Windsurf training front.

I'll pass the details on to my friend.
