Hi there,
Have been having great success teaching my nephews to sail on a Starboard Go at Narrabeen lagoon (with a Fanatic 2.5m kids rig).
We also spend a bit of time on the Central Coast. In fact, we're heading up there this weekend. The kids are keen for a sail but I'm not sure where to take them (wind permitting).
Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted (for this weekend or future reference).
Cheers

I would give Terrigal Lagoon a go for the kids. Wind forecast is northerly or NE'er so it would be OK for them. A bit shallow in places but very safe to learn there. I have had my 17 year old daughter learning there a few times over Xmas hols and she went well, but we were on a 10' SUP board with a small sail (4.7m) which had no centreboard and only a small 8" fin. Depth of water or lack of it was not a problem.

Be aware that the lagoon is also very popular with SUP'ers especially in the morning.

Good luck.
