Kurnell is a great spot for B&J in a westerly.
Foreshore road is pretty flat water alongside the runway.
Narrabeen lake is sailable, but pretty gusty.
Further afield there's Canton and Lake Illawarra.

And Kurnell is good too. Flattish near the shore and can be quite decent swell in the middle.
What about sailing from palm beach towards lion island or broken bay? I know if something goes wrong it is a fast track out to the Tasman but.....Big swell, box head, lots of wind, sail back to pittwater, does anyone do it? Maybe not on your own but lets get a crew. And a new wetsuit, some food and water, and some flares.

I'd imagine the wind would be pretty gusty and there would be plenty of wind shadows. I'm over sailing in offshore winds. Never going to do it again.
I supsailed box head today; some good waves to be had. There were two of us. Hardly planing weather though. You'd need an 8.0 and a 120li board I reckon.
Is it me or this is a recurring topic ;)
Anyways: Kurnell best. A bit far, bring your lunch, but worth it.
Palm beach can get gusty, wind is not clean enough.
My 5 cents for B&J at Botany Bay:
SE: Kyeemagh
E: Kyeemagh
NE: Kyeemagh, Dolls Point or Kurnell
N: Dolls Point or Kurnell
NW: Kurnell (can work in La Perouse but it's gusty as hell)
W: Kurnell or La Perouse
SW: La Perouse
SSW: Dolls Point
S: Kyeemagh
Yeah maybe, but still box head never come has it? Want to get out there some time.
Inspired me to get the sup out and give bear island bombie a go in less than 10 knots straight off shore. A bit of fun but the tide was coming up so a bit full. Still about five foot sets.
Stand ups definately make the impossible an option. Though they are a handful at times on the bigger ones
