There will be a few around Sandringham (neare Cpt Cook Bridge) today while there is some west in it.

I was at Sandringham for about an hour or so from around 2pm. Quite windy and choppy. Lacking match fitness it was too much for me after a short period of time. It was great fun all the same to be fully powered up on a 5.9m and 105L board.
I got out on my 5.2 and the 78L board, it was great to be out on the smaller gear.
I did have to remove the cob webs from the 5.2 as it hadn't seen the light of day day for a while
The 5.2 was marginal in the lulls but nice relaxed sailing in the gusts.
Because the ski boat race was on I headed down to Dolls Point and sailed around the kiters who were out in plague propotions.
A few of us were out at La Perouse in the early afternoon. Wind was a bit gusty but it was a pretty full on session. The swell rolling in through the heads was freakin HUGE, at times rigs would pretty much dissapear in the troughs. Sailing in with the swell was insane, especially when looking behind and watching these walls creeping up behind.
I take my hat of to the two slalom freaks who battled the elements.
Laff,
I got out at Little Makaha (Collaroy side of Long Reef) and that swell translated to massive waves. Easy mast high with some bomb sets. Was great but wind was a bit patchy and spooky out there on your own.
Windang was good fun as well... Solid mast high in the bigger sets and pretty steady wind there for a while. Only 5 people out so no fighting over waves either.
On the better waves you could pretty much star riding from out front of the break wall right into the beach.
Was great fun last weekend at La P, hoping for similar this coming saturday if you're around Laff....I might even pluck up the courage to venture further into the waves round the corner this time
bel29...not sure if it was you or your mate thought I might be Ben? didn't occur to me till afterwards that you might have thought I was Ben Wood from the OTC sticker on the sail? And as Laff said...all credit to you guys for holding down the slalom kit in the conditions!
