So, i've been thinking about the sport alot lately, and before i blow 500 odd dollars (or more) on the gear i would need, is there anywhere i could hire some gear?

I've hired in Sydney at the yacht club on Balmoral beach. Not a great location - the bay is sheltered so you have to take a floaty board and sail out into the harbour to find some wind - and not great kit either but it's there if you're desperate...
If you are coming to Sydney, we rent windsurfing gear from beginner to wave gear, including 2011 boards and sails.
We are next to Long Reef for surf and 5 minutes from Narrabeen Lakes for flatwater blasting.
