Oh yeah :) Great day! We sailed slalom from Speers Point Sailing Club. Lots of spills and thrills, some new top speeds, and a visit from the Ambulance
Ian is OK though.

Great pics! Speers Point would have been the go as the chop wouldnt have been as big as eslewhere. What injuries? Catapult?
I was too tired after 5 days of lousy sleep..
How consistent was it & what size sails where rigged?
Yep, there was still some chop but small enough to be manageable on slalom boards without getting too airborne. It was relatively consistent (for a westerly) - just a few big lulls where everyone started to sink.
Sail sizes were between 4.7 and 5.8 - I used a 6.5 briefly in the morning but way too much. When it gets windy, everyone pulls out their old fluoro sails - Tibor had a relatively new sail but apart from that everyone's were 5 years old plus. Mick's old 5.6 Sailworks was from 1992!
Ian dislocated his shoulder but after a quick trip to hospital was home that night. No doubt it will be a while until he can get back on the water. He caught his fin on a rope downwind of the start line buoy and had a big catapult. ![]()
Looks like some nice nor-easters coming this week so I'd say Coal Point will turn it on again.
