G'day Everyone,

Megs and I are on our way to NSW!

We're still in QLD, but by 5th October we'll be in NSW looking for some great spots we can sail.

We're still fairly new to the sport so we're looking for spots that are fairly sheltered and have flat water. We'll be spending some time in the water perfecting waterstarting and (I hope) gybing.

Any suggestions will be great!

We're also happy to sail with anyone if they can get some time to come out with us.

Vando from Qld & me from Sydney will be there from 9th Oct for a week & 2 weeks respectively.
Great flat water spot. Rig at Whiting beach & sail behind the wall. Magic

Hi Wino.

We'll definatley be going to Yamba.

We're working out when we'll be there.

At the moment it's looking like we'll be there early next week.

We're going to get the map out tonight and pan the northern NSW tonight.

Sanctuary Point , on the sth coast (St Georges Basin) is a great spot for mastering your water starts, it has a good section of waste deep water. Great spot

Myall & Wallis lakes near Foster are supposed to be good.Lake Macquarie near Newcastle has somewhere to sail in any wind direction but probably not a lot of good spots to learn to waterstart unless you just walk out waist deep.

Second this one, if you don't crack the water start within a day I'll eat my waist harness...and Gerroa is just up the road, good spot to start wave sailing.

Cheers.

We've been there 12 months ago when we first started windsurfing.

That is the most magical place to us. We can't wait!!!!!

So, is anyone going to meet us there?

Sorry Wineman,

We had a good look at Yamba today and decided to leave. There was a definate lack of wind and the water was very very brown. I can't believe the surfers were out there.

We're now in Port Maquarie and we're wondering if there's any windsurfing here?

Now we're in Lake Macquarie and had an OK sail.

It was great to meet the other windsurfers today.

Sitting here tonight at Wangi Wangi, I just measured the wind @ 15 - 17 knots. Perrfect!!! Just wish we had that today.

Good to meet you and Megs yesterday Geoff. Looks like you will have good wind all this week.

Enjoy the rest of your trip and we might see you at Huskisson in two weeks time when the NSW Formula circus rolls into town.

Cheers
James
