I reckon the Captain and Wysey should have some decent numbers from the Pond today. Sam was on the little Falcon speed. It was a usual Sydney westerly, gusty and anything from 5 knots to over 25 so who knows??
Leo is probably down south so he will be crankin' out the speeds too.
I could only watch for a bit, too frustrating not being able to sail.
Was windy in the illawarra, there were wind meters out and I saw one with a peak of 54kts...I reckon it was windier at times
At the end of the day I couldn't de-rig my gear...a massive squall came through for about 15 minutes, I had to sit on my gear on the grass to stop it blowing away...was ridiculous haha...almost lost a car door too ![]()
yes it was very gusty at foreshore drive nice to see a few blokes out .It was getting a bit out of control at times possibly beyond my level of skill .still if i dont try ill never improve
WAS A FUN DAY LARKO BUT THE WIND WAS TOO MUCH FOR MY 6.3 LATER IN THE ARVO ... I DID GO OUT FOR A FEW RUNS ON KEEFS 5.5 RSR EVO3 BUT NO FLAT WATER IT WAS SO WINDY AND WSW SHORT RUNS INTO THE BANK NOT FUN @ 39 KN NEXT TIME I'LL BE SURE TO CHECK OUT FORESHORE DRIVE
