So what do you make of this afternoon's forecast? Worth getting out or likely to be all over the place?

Honkin' sthly.

Way down south, Sandringham or maybe give Narrabeen Lake a go at the tin shed on Wakehurst Pkway.

Go now for an arm stretch.

This afternoon was bloody awesome

I can not remember having had any strong southerly winds like this in summer before.

Been on a stretched out 4.7 and really had to hold on to it.

Just arrived at Toowoon Bay when the wind hit. Nice looking rolling cigar cloud, would of made for a good photo.
Most rigged 4.0 m sails. I had a 4.6 and should of used a 4. Made for some hell fast runs in the bay though as the wind swell rolled past the point. Still good to get out in a southerly.

Hey Donk,
Does Enceladus picture remind you of your adventures at Shingle Splitters. It may be the same shark! You did well hanging onto a 4.6 today. I had my 4.2 rigged more like a 3.7. Lets hope for some waves next Southerly.

Hey Martin,

Did you stick around long after I left? I was stuffed after the first couple of hours!! It looks like it settled down a bit after 4pm. Would have been a lot of fun in the 25-30 and HUGE swell!

Yep, it has settled a bit and as you have correctly assumed, it was HEAPS of fun

Everyone else pretty much packed up after you've left. I got off the water around 7pm.

Nah northsail he is a tiddler compared to what I saw.

All that work at the gym is paying off plus those excellent Sailworks sails.
