Morning Seabreezers!
Bit of a cheeky request. I am cycling the Sydney Gong ride on the 1st November and am looking for sponsors! My team, "Team Slow Step" is presently sitting in the top 100 for overall sponsorship and we are sat on $3752 for MS Australia. Our initial target was $2000 but we've now upped that to $5000! We have also managed to secure some corporate sponsors including Windsurfingsales and 4 Pines Brewery in Manly that will have an after ride party on our behalf (and will have donation jars/posters etc for the evening).
I raised just under $900 last year and am presently at $655 - I would really like to beat my target of $1000k this year. I couldn't believe how many people sponsored me last year that have friends or family members with MS - it certainly made the decision to ride again an easy one.
MS is is the most common disease of the central nervous system and affects more than 18,000 Australians.
Did you know?
* The average age of diagnosis of MS is just 30 years
* MS affects three times as many women as men
MS Australia aims to minimise the impact of multiple sclerosis on all individuals affected by the disease, as well as their families, carers and the community, by offering a wide range of services, equipment and support. MS Australia's goal is to assist everyone affected by MS to live life to their fullest potential and secure the care and support they need, until we ultimately find a cure.
Please DONATE by clicking on the link bellow and help MS Australia support all people affected by multiple sclerosis.http://register.gongride.org.au/?benkirk
Why do I have a feeling that I'll be cycling past perfect Sandon and Bellambi waves and it'll be blowing a 25 knot NE'r!?!?
Any donations, even just $10 will be gratefully received!
Thanks
Ben
I thought this was going to be a post saying sponsor to windsurf from sydney to the gong, now that would be good fun, maybe not in a southerly though!
good on you! How was the spring cycle? I did it last year and found it frustratingly slow - but still a nice day out.
