Hey all, we are packing the car and driving Perth sydney and return at christmas time. I have 9-10 days to do the return trip and would be really appreciative for some tips on the best ocean bump and jump spots along the way, preferable where we can camp and surf in the mornings as well..

thanks for the tips

I'm not sure if you could do much windsurfing if you have 10 days to get across Australia. It took me about half that time to drive from a bit north of Sydney to Perth and that was cutting across NSW to Broken Hill and then the SA. Although my car was slow and I rarely drove faster than 110 km/h I was driving from dawn to dusk almost every day and covered a bit over 1000 kms every day.

What route are you planning on traveling on? Probably to maximise your time on the water it would be best to cut across NSW and then spend a few days in South Australia where the main road is quite close to the coast for a long way.

We are driving to Sydney in 6 days staying 2 nights at cactus beach and 1 night at port lincoln but pretty much driving the rest of the way. On thw way back we are following the coats from Sydney to Perth - night 1 looks like Mallacoota somewhere on the coast halfway between sydney and melbounre, night 2 looks like 90 mile beach then across to somewhere near warnambool or port fairie night 3 or 4 . we will put in some big big k's some days so that others we can just enjoy.

I wish we had three months but 3 weeks is all i got including 4 nights in sydney
