Given that we are predicted to see similiar conditions to Sat I'm going to suggest a cross-on jumping session at Makaha. It should be free of swimmers given the number of shark sightings and should pick up the NE windswell at low tide around mid afternoon. On shore DTL may be possible but I think I will be reaching out parallel to the waves (messy wind chop with ramdom peaks) If its a bit slow to get started i will just drool over the new JP FSWs at WindSurfnSnow and have a pie at Collaroy's famous pie shop.

My other predictions,

Wanda will be windy but will be inundated with Swimmers in the shore break. Given the small waves of late it may be quite stressful trying to avoid people for small closeout beach break. Maybe a long run out towards Voodoos may make it worth the drive.

Palm beach could work for a cross-on jumping session but checking the beach cam today at 4:00 pm only showed 1 kiter out - so i'm guessing the NE did not get strong enough inshore. Did anyone sail today at Palmy? I did see about 5 guys sailing Newport at the same time but no waves to speak of.

Long Reef - well unlikely to be sailable. More likely to be a tempting mistress offering 1 foot beach break and 8 knots.

The Lake - for NE launch down the Sport and Fitness centre as the seabreeze tends to funnel in there a little more. Its onshore but could get some fun chop as its quite shallow.

Gerroa - not sure but the heat and SE change could kill the NE off early. Could be epically windy before hand but no waves. You could sail ShoalHaven heads - check out the photos posted from the NSWWA comp last week

Good luck everyone - I know I worked hard for my leave pass for Sun.
cheers

There aren't any waves at Wanda today for the swimmers to get in the way in!

Tim, I got out at Palm Beach, planed once! Waves were dumping at low tide and no wind equalled tough launch. It was good until 3pm (when we all got there) with the Northern Beaches usuals having an OK sail. Townie and I ended up at Narrabeen as we had to get wet - I was able to just get going on the 5.7 in the gusts. It just didn't seem to work yesterday up North. Even Mat C wasn't willing to drive to Wanda!

Makaha jumping sounds like a plan.
