Happy New Year to all,
This weekend is the fourth Stormriders event for the season and racing is going to be held at Ramsgate Beach on Botany Bay.
For additional details check www.storm-riders.com.au/
As far as the series goes, it is tight at the front of both Open and Fe+ fleets and there is a lot to play for this weekend. It may well be another great weekend for the lightweights ;-(
It is also a great time to get some practice in for the Oceanics to be held in the first week of Feb at beautiful Hawks Nest. It looks like it is going to be a fantastic event at an amazing location. Check http://www.fw-australia.com/ for further details.
Accomodation is filling fast so get your skates on.
If people could register online as soon as possible, it helps the organisers budget and book events if they know how many people to expect.
And as a reminder to all racers
--Buoyancy aids are mandatory in NSW
www.rms.nsw.gov.au/maritime/index.html
--Sail Numbers need to be applied to all sails you are using while racing. If the finisher cannot clearly identify your sail number you will not get a result.
--Racing Rules. Yes, there are rules!! Who would have thought? They can be downloaded free from www.sailing.org or contact me and I will email the relevant documents to you.

From the SI's, registration is from 10am on Saturday, but if you want to get there early you can help set up the event etc :-)

Well, what can i say about Day1....Zero wind, Zero racing. Racing cancelled at 3pm as Zero wind on the horizon.
Day 2 briefing delayed until 12pm, with first possible start at 1pm.
Fingers crossed the 10-15knot NE arrives.....
Some good news though...
The FE+ fleet continues to grow with 2 new FE+ competitors registered....
Anyone interested in having a crack at racing should not be intimidated at all as there is a lot of new faces.....Just come down tomorrow and check it out...
