My car was stolen from the Middlerock Car Park at Lake Cathie (15 mins south of Port Macquarie) today
. Was sailing at the time and was expecting the wind to increase so the car was full of gear. Sails: 2006 Ezzy Wave SE sizes 4.5m, 5.2m + 5.8m dominemt colour orange, all in top nick.
Ezzy masts: 370, 400, 430
Board: Quatro Freestyle Wave 2006 85L- pretty good nick.
Happy to receive the gear back no questions asked if the person reading this was the culprit.....dont care about the car, which was by the way was a Metallic Blue Kluger 2004, NSW Rego: ES 737.......just want my gear....show me some love, give me my gear back please

Middlerock carpark has had a reputation for theft for decades. The layout suits theft. One long straight entrance, bushes all around, not a lot of traffic, one lookout can keep an eye on both the entrance and the beachgoers while the thief breaks in.
Had my wallet stolen from my car by a skilled thief there years ago, despite being forewarned by the locals.
I think it's most likely a professional thief, so hopefully the gear that can't be shifted will turn up.
Its funny, I have surfed and sailed there for over 10 years with it as my local sailing spot and never once had an issue. The kiters all leave their cars unlocked with gear in the back.......told them to be more careful after my experience today. I do agree though, after reading your post, it is a great set up for thieves.
I agree that it must have been a professional job, as the key was in a surflock which was placed underneath the car, so breaking such a device under a car with no leverage or swinging room would be nearly impossible. Must have gone through a window [}:)]
It was such a busy day with kiters an walkers coming and going, such a brazen move, they must have been quick too
