Hi all,

Driving up the Pacific Highway north of Port Macquarie a few times i've noticed the Stoney Park waterski centre just off the side of the Highway. www.stoneypark.com.au

Having a look on Google maps there are two ponds aligned perpendicular to each other - one runs NW<->SE and the other NE<->SW. Their website says the ponds are 720m long.

There are some hills to the west but to the east its relatively flat so it could be good in a Nor-easter? Just wondering if anyone has ever stopped in there to see if a) they allow windsurfing and b) whether it would work well as a speed spot.

cheers
james

I haven't made any enquiries or had a look besides driving past the park. Looking at Google Earth it doesn't appear either pond would work in a north easter. Closeby at Settlement Point and Westport there are reasonable runs in a north easter on the Hastings river.

The NW-SE run would be the best but doesn't appear to be at the correct angle for a decent run.
