I'll be down the coast over Easter, looks like being southerly the whole time. In that wind direction I know of Windang, and the river at shoalhaven heads (if it's more WSW or SW) which has me covered, but will be with some intermediates who won't want to be out in the ocean in the conditions forecast. Are there any other good "safe" flat water spots? Any particular launches on the river?

ahem... looked on a map lately? If you want flat water Illawarra Lake seems the obvious choice.

Shoalhaven doesn't get the southerlies very strong. Lake illawarra is the best option. Go to the yacht club at berkely.
