Monday looks like being epic, SE blowing all day, and amazingly I should be able to get out during the day ![]()
So my questions are, is anyone else going to be out there? And where should I go? Looks like the big orange buoys are still out at Kyeemagh
which would have been first choice.
just saw the forecast, goog thing i have monday off too! anyone sailing up the northern beaches monday?
At the moment I'm equally far from the North and South sides, so can chase the best option either way.
If its windy ill be out somewhere on botany. there is 3-4 old farts that always turn up around botany if there is even a hint of wind :)
where to go :
if it stays deep south launch from st george yaght club, sandringham and hit the sand bar .
If swings to the south east then probably launch from either bestic street (airporit ) - the bouys have been clumped up a bit better in the last few days look like they wont get in the way too much.
If it swings enuf to the east can launch from ramsgate beach - which has a better rigging and parking areas.
Once it gets due east you better off going to kurnell - get some nice flat water close in then hit some great chop couple hunderd meters out.
Hey Rhino, am off Monday too and I think I'm heading north up to Palm Beach under the Barrenjoey lighthouse i think. I could be tempted to go south to Sandringham though?![]()
Will probably go to bestic st about 11am... or to wherever I can see some others out on the bay.
Where are you guys going to go north side?
anyone else up for a morning sail ? will prob come out about 10 am somewhere on botany - will take a look on way home from work and decide where to come back out too.
my guess would be launching from ramsgate since bestic street is still blocked off a bit.
no doubt water quality in botany will be crap with all the rain water run off :(
just back from a few hours at bestic st on 4.2, not the most amazing conditions at ever but better than sitting in an office ![]()
