What is your smallest sail?

50 knot winds are mental.

My wife has a 3.5 that I have used once in about 40kts. Not much room for error when its that strong.

Its looking increasing like workers and those who choose not to work can all go for a windsurf on Tuesday as long as we don't mind windsurfing in the dark.

I can't go windsurfing during the week due to the need to earn a little bit of money and post stuff on seabreeze.

I've got a 3.2 I use in gusty 30 - 60kts..survival material! The boom is so short its very twitchy so wouldn't say its fun especially as its an older model with no twist & now Im used to nice forgiving modern sails..
You've jinxed it anyway they've dropped the forecast..
I'm hoping its not too strong as I havent got my weedfin for the small board yet ( in the post).
Aiming for Canton Tues / Wed ?
Been a good girl working all day the last 3 days..

what directions does cantong work in?
My smallest sail is 5.4m and it has NEVER blown enough to over power it. I hope w we get the 40 knots.
I can sail all day Tuesday and wednesday as I am on holidays but I do believe in sick days if it is worth it.
Where is every one going?

I've sailed at Canton Beach in westerlies, SW winds, southerlies and a SE wind. I did not like it on a SE wind as I was sailing straight out into the lake and the water was very choppy. The chop was about a half a meter tall and had a fetch of about 2 meters. So it was bang bang bang.

Its great on a southerly. There are huge broad reaches towards to point, then a gybe and beat your way back up to do it again. To me it feels similar to either downhill skiing or having a rollercoaster ride down the big dipper with the deep broad reaches. I love it.

Westerlies are good too but it gets a bit choppy on the reach over the other side in the middle. That can be fun too as its not full on chop.

People will park and launch close to the toilet block which is just up the road from a caravan park. There is a one way street going going along the lake.

There have been a few days this year I would have liked a decent 5.5m sail as it was pretty full on with either a 5.9m or 6.6m. I might have to invest in a smaller sail soon.

In regards to a weed fin, speak to Peter who drives a white Ford Transit van. He might have a fin available for sale.

I have heard in New Zealand a worker can have a stress day off work. A good windsurf session would be a great way to release stress from work.

I've spent all day prepping the boss for a couple of sickies, cough's, nose blowing, the whole deal, even the sick voice. The downside I think I actually am getting sick :(

Nothing that a few 30+ runs wont fix though

A colleague of mine has been having a bit of stress leave. Its been mental at work so no one is really blaming him.

I was discussing this with another colleague. If you claimed stress and your doctor wrote out the certificate then why not go windsurfing?

Got out at Canton- believed the forecast & underigged ( 4.2m) just in case..yeah right..[}:)]
Better after I rigged the 5m on the 95 but still lots of holes. Not as good as last time.
Still good to get a sail although the body is complaining now.

Awesome stuff this arvo. Good on the boys down at the Illawarra getting out. Just didnt happen up here until too late. We lost our front deck pergola/canopy about 6pm, gust hit and it got smashed. Now several pieces in the street.
Thanks for letting me know where you were going Spence
