I went sailing off Valentine yesterday ( crappy 5 -8kts) but I'm sure I saw a seal( or 2) about 100m away! It was hanging around for a while but I didn't have enough wind to work up closer. It must have been a seal as it had flippers and a forked flipper tail and was playing around but it had the occasional spray of water like a mini whale spout..??
Good to see the Lake getting healthier. We went kayaking along Coal Pt in the am and I saw a fancy starfish + a sea slug in the shallows.
