Went down to sandringham yesterday arvo about 3 pm and had a blast on my 118 / 6.7 setup. Pulled a top speed on gps of 27.01. which pretty decent on the big ol board.
What happened to you JayBee ? you disappeared - misses a pretty good session - was planning a good 70-80% of the day with only a few little holes.
I will probably head back down there again today around lunch time if anyone is interested in some good speeed runs . Get some really nice flat water out near the sandbar in the southerly and tide should be fairly low this arvo.

See you there Roar. I'll be there mid arvo... Looking forward to some flat water with wind as opposed to the flat water without wind we have been having lately....
Had been there for a while and got sick of waiting for the storm to move on. When I met you was at the end of my tether.
Will be there today, see you later,

Just back form a recce to sandringham. It is blowing dogs off chains there at the moment. I expect if you are using anything greater then 6 you will be blasted off the water.
Forecast is to moderate this afternoon.

Yep, I agree - when I got home I tried to change that, but can only edit up to four hours after posting.

Just out of curiosity, are you guys talking about Sandringham near Dolls Pt. on Botany Bay ?
Used to be my spot (lived nearby) early 80s. Then the beach 'disappeared' with the building of the then-new airport strip. Went back a few years ago and some sort of beach was back. Only McMoreland's pub had been taken down.
Is it a good spot still ?
This is the spot Pierre.

Cool stuff. Am going home for Xmas, rels and all. Some live around the corner.
Will try to borrow some gear and sail by (good spot on NEers, if I remember).
Cheers.
