Thinking of having a sail at Kurnell today. A couple of questions...

Where exactly should I rig up and launch?
How is the parking? (Better then Kyeemagh i guess?)
Is there a lot more chop and swell than Kyeemagh? (going with a friend who has not sailed for a loooong time)
Are there taps that I can connect my hose to?

Thanks,
Harrow.

you can rig in the end, in front of the toilets block, there are taps for water and showers along the shore. Parking should be no problem. Kurnell is the choppiest place in Botany, your friend can try and sail around the corner in Quibra bay, it would be flat but gustier, or stay close to the beach. Today at Kyeemagh should not be too busy, might be easier sailing

Thanks, that was what I was figuring, it looks exposed. Unfortunately his gear is currently stored at Kurnell. I'll try to talk him into the drive to Kyeemagh.

You can rig your gear in front of the kurnell catamaran club directly across the road.nice bit of lawn too In a seebreeze it can be a bumpy ride but nice long runs.there are jet skis buzzing around & kites galour.they usually keep their distance.few taps around too cheers.

Cloud killed the wind. I only got 3 decent runs, but was good for my friend on his TC Runner. The 20+ year old uni Tendon broke the first time he dropped the sail, so we made a make-shift rope universal ala 80's Bombora.
