My wife has her mind set on going to Fiji in November for a Holiday:
1. can anyone let me know if I can sail anywhere over there
2. Is there decent hire gear
3. Which months of the year are ideal for sailing

I'm still trying to convince her to go to Geraldton in West Oz !!

Cheers

hm... I am not sure November is the best time of the year to go to Fiji... I seem to remember people saying the best time is July to September. The main issue will be that the good places to sail are generally not near the tourist hot spots.

To be honest, I think Geraldton is better in January. November can be fluky plus having been there with a partner on a holiday I don't think it really compares to Fiji or let alone being none windsurfing friendly... I mean really... there f..k all to do but windsurf.

Have you thought about Hawaii? It's tropical... has shopping malls (very important when traveling with a partner that doesn't windsurf)... plenty of other things to do when it's not windy...

November there can also be a bit variable as far as wind is concerned and you might have the odd rain front coming through but that will give you plenty of time to keep your wife happy by spending time with her.
