It was nice at Kyeemagh too, 6 or 7 people in the water when i arrived. All gone within an hour... Then two more courageous joined me. The chop sure wasn't pretty.

Here are some photo Young Pete took of the Long Reef session - swell was quite small and stayed that way (except for the wind which kept gaining strength!)

what time was that? When I went out it was far from smooth and I was well over cranked on a 4.7. Thought I'd rig a 4.7 as I was late and expected the wind to drop. Didn't happen... the first 30 minutes were out of control.

well smooth anyway compared getting out to makaha from brownwater earlier, which was a real struggle. A bit too offshore and v gusty.

Out at Longy about 3.15 until 4.30. 4.0-4.2 would have been ok but only 76lt board so almost maxxed but fine .

prob good today, 20 knots and a bit of swell.

looked at Makaha but it looked like there was zero swell getting in. yup... today should be ok at Makaha. Anyone get out?

Makaha, was a dumb choice. I thought there would be more NE swell getting in (or south swell as it swung around more). The waves were small & it was a good angle, the wind was just too strong & too gusty.

I thought Longy would be wild but turned out to be bloody good.
