Have a meeting in Double Bay tomorrow so thinking of trying to sneak a blast out at Rose bay assuming the wind holds.

Whats the go there? Flat? Chop? Where is the best point to launch from? Any tips much appreciated.

Thanks

I've launched from the east side of the sailing club in NW winds, off Vickery avenue, where the ramps into the water are. The water state can be "confused" with the chop bouncing off the wall, probably depends on the tide I guess, but fairly flat. Looks like more W tomorrow but probably still a good option, let us know how you go.

Either launch at the yacht club ramp, or the beach at the north end. West winds are gusty, but still good sailing in winter. Enjoy

I made it out from the sailing club. Winds were fairly gusty so it wasn't that exciting but just bloody satisfying to get a mid week mid winter sail in!

Certainly an easy place to sail out of to avoid trekking down to BB or navigating the boats at Balmoral - a year after moving to Sydney I'm yet to have a good sail at Balmoral.

Thanks for the tips, much appreciated.
