Sam.
could be a bit of fun, if the wind holds up? QLD guns are coming down to try and claim out state championship again....
Hey Sam,,,,
If you've got a few of those ding repair kits hangin around in the shop then you might want to throw them in your van for the weekend, Could sell em at a premium. After 6 weeks off, my first time back on a formula board looks like being in hurricane conditions.
After smashing the nose of the falcon 2 days ago, i'm a pretty good bet to damage the black machine if it's blowin a million knots.
Might even think about wearing the stack hat!!
Hats off to the formula lads. ![]()

I watched the lads get hammered by winds gusting up to around 50kts......
Huge winds with 10.6 sails awsome to see the boys lock in and motor.
Did anyone have a GPS, as I have never seen a formula board go so quick.
Congrats to Sam Parker AUS-3 on beating Sean O'Brien AUS-120 from QLD on a count back.....Results, Report and Photos will be up soon...
HI Grasshopper,
I didn't have my GPS on but in similar conditions a few years ago I hit a peak of 31 in the chicken strap. Saturday felt more like maybe 27-28ish. Pretty sure Sean and a few others had their GPS's on so they might have some better info.
Cheers,
Sam.
