We had the first of the winter informal races at St George on Saturday.
9 raceboards - so a good turnout.
1 longer race then 4 short races practising starts. It was only light 5-8 knots but fun.
My RaceQS replay of the longer race.

Sailing again this Saturday at St George Sailing Club. Get there by 11:00am.
Informal racing and starting practice - the forecasts only look light SSW unfortunately, but it's probably the best place to pick up what wind there is tomorrow.
9 Starters for this weeks winter races.
We had 6 short races practicing starts.
The day started with dead calm then a light 5-8 knots SSW came in.

Really cool to see so many racers at st george sc. I came later when it was over. Thanks to connor and jorn for staying out to give me some speed training. After upstairs for a chat was fun with the whole group.
I often enjoy the training or journey towards the regatta more than the actual regatta itself. ![]()
Nice to have so many training partners all working together towards royal qlds in November. And so many clubs! St george , dobroyd, woollarha, and now also balmoral. And also the training group on pittwater.

Forecast is looking wilder - should be interesting practice. One of those days that I wish I had a smaller sail.
